A fun intro to Strength & Conditioning

Teaching primary age kids the fundamental movements and improving their physical literacy.

The old school way of ‘going out to play’ is fading away. With the lack of physical activity in today’s younger generation the kids are severely lacking in basic movements such as hops, jumps, being able to squat and lack in areas such as balance and coordination.

Here at Specific we’re fighting to combat that. By coaching your child to become more stable, stronger and to have solid foundations in the technique of the ‘bread & butter’ movements & exercises, their body control and overall confidence will improve.

If they compete in a sport, there’ll be a noticeable boost to their athleticism, giving them that wee edge over their opponents.

All the kids are coached through their own individual programme and will work their way through a structured and progressive plan to becoming well rounded and competent in physical preparation. We look at this as an introduction to strength and conditioning and a pathway on to our Specific Youth programme.

We know it’s hectic running about after the weans, so you can change what days suit you best from week to week. 

We run Mini Specific sessions daily Monday to Friday at 3:45pm - 4:15pm.

Numbers on Mini sessions are limited to four kids to ensure safety & quality in the sessions, so places must be booked in advance.

Coaching Costs:

  • £40 per month | 4-5 sessions

  • £79 per month | 8-10 sessions
